There are many seekrit troves of free comics lying out there on the internet, like treasure chests ready to be unfolded. That’s one of the reasons I started this feature.
Top Shelf 2.0 is a free webcomics portal that ended a few years ago, but there are still plenty of good comics sitting there waiting to be read.
Gingerbread Girl by Paul Tobin and Colleen Coover has been printed up, but you can still read the whole thing online as well. It’s the story of a quirky young woman who may or may not have a twin sister called The Gingerbread Girl who may or may not have been created by her scientist father. Or she may Annah may just be a quirky 20-something who has a few too many quirks.
This story is from a few years ago but HEY it’s Tobin and Coover, the dynamic team behind Bandette and many other fantastic comics. So go read it already.
