200701310155If you volunteer for three days at WonderCon, you might end up with Aragorn or even Boromir, coutesy of Sideshow Collectibles and the fine LORD OF THE RINGS statues. We’d be itching for Glorfindel and Prince Imrahil ourselves…or maybe….hm….EOMER.

“We’ve been very lucky to have a dedicated group of volunteers at each of our shows,” commented David Glanzer, spokesperson for the non profit event, “as an instrumental part of WonderCon, many volunteer for all days of the convention. As a special thank you to those who are so dedicated, we have teamed with Sideshow Collectibles; manufacturers of movie, film, television and proprietary collectible figures, to make some of those figures available to our volunteers.”

WonderCon will be held March 2 4, 2007 at Moscone Center South in San Francisco, California. Sideshow Collectibles has donated an assortment of spectacular statues from The Lord of the Rings, and those statues will be given away in special drawings held on Sunday of the event.

Volunteers must be 15 years of age or older. Tasks for volunteers range from monitoring lines, to assisting department heads in a variety of duties. Everything volunteers do at the convention is an integral part of making WonderCon the success it is.
