Courtesy of Dogu Publishing and Dark Horse Comics, The Beat is pleased to reveal a first look at the upcoming hardcover collection of the latest Usagi Yojimbo series, Usagi Yojimbo: Ten Thousand Plums, due out in bookstores on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, and comics shops the following day. The limited edition will feature new cover art by creator Stan Sakai, and colorist Emi Fujii, plus a unique, numbered tip-in (separately printed) sheet signed by Sakai.

The official description reads:

The trees within the valley of ten thousand plums are beautiful to behold. But the umeboshi, or pickled plums, made in the local village are renowned for their strong medicinal properties and a favorite of the Shogun. As a series of deadly events grip the valley with fear, the Shogun’s samurai strongman is immediately suspicious when Usagi, Yukichi, and Gen are caught wandering among the prized foliage. Can their appearance be a mere coincidence? This collection also includes Stan Sakai’s moving, personal “Tabo” story, colored by Emi Fujii!
