Tokyopop has announced a new Boys’ Love series from its LoveLove imprint: the award-winning manga Bride of Ignat by Moyori Mori (Touch Within the Abyss).
Debuting in April, Bride of Ignat, Vol. 1 introduces Rita, a young man sacrificed by his village to become the “Dragon’s Bride.” The romantasy follows Rita and the mythical dragon, Ignat, as Rita attempts to melt Ignat’s icy heart.

Rita, a lonely boy, is chosen as the “Dragon’s Bride” by the village custom. The ancient legend of the “Snowy Mountain Dragon” is now nothing more than a legend, but Rita, unable to find his role in the village, accepts the sacrifice while realizing that it is to reduce the number of mouths to feed.
Rita, who was left alone and freezing in the snowstorm, is saved by Ignat, a beautiful dragon in human form. Tokyopop will release Bride of Ignat, Vol. 1 digitally, as well as in paperback and hardcover editions. Additionally, an exclusive special edition with a variant cover and bonus shikishi artboard illustration by Mori will be available at Kinokuniya bookstores in North America. Pre-orders for the special edition begin in early April.
