New York, NY, 5 PM – 7 PM – Fantastic Fiction II at Books of Wonder
Holly Black (THE SPIDERWICK CHRONICLES) will be one of six young adult authors on hand to introduce their new books at New York’s oldest and largest children’s book store. Black’s new book happens to be a graphic novel, THE GOOD NEIGHBORS, which is illustrated by Ted Naifeh.
Tuesday, November 25
Toronto, ON, 6:30 PM – Maurice Vellekoop’s PIN-UPS launch
Toronto retailer The Beguiling celebrates the launch of Maurice Vellekoop’s book of gay pinups with a gallery show, presentation for the book, and music to boot. Free and open to the public, ages 18 and up.

New York, NY, 8 PM – Marc Bernardin at Comic Book Club
This installment of the weekly live comic book talk show will feature hosts Justin Typer, Pete LaPage and Alex Zalben chatting to Marc Bernardin, author of THE HIGHWAYMEN and MONSTER ATTACK NETWORK at the People’s Improv Theatre. Admission is $5.

Los Angeles, CA, 8 PM – Gerard Way at Golden Apple
UMBRELLA ACADEMY writer and (My Chemical Romance frontman) Gerard Way will sign comics at Golden Apple‘s Los Angeles location to promote the new Umbrella Academy series.

Chicago, IL, 7 PM, 9:30 PM and Midnight – Bruce Campbell presents My Name is Bruce
Mr. Campbell himself will appear at each of the three showings of his new film at Chicago’s Century Centre Theatre, answering questions after the 7 PM and 9 PM screenings and introducing the midnight screening.

Montreal, QC, 7 PM – POHADKY Launch Party
Drawn & Quarterly’s book store will be hosting the launch party for Marek Colek and Pat Shewchuk’s new book POHADKY in the Petits Livres series. Free and open to the public.
Saturday, November 29
Alhambra, CA, 8 PM – 10 PM – James Jean at Gallery Nucleus
James Jean will be L.A.’s Gallery Nucleus to greet fans and sign copies of his new XOXO HUGS AND KISSES postcards book, and the new collection of his FABLES covers. Refreshments provided. Free and open to the public.
Sunday, November 30
New York, NY, 7 PM – 9 PM – Graphic Novelists at KGB Bar
Jonathan Ames (THE ALCOHOLIC), Dean Haspiel (BILLY DOGMA), Sarah Glidden (HOW TO UNDERSTAND ISREAL IN 60 DAYS OR LESS), Tom Hart (HUTCH OWEN) and Matthew Thurber (1-800-MICE) will read from and show their latest comix as part of the KGB Bar’s Sunday Night Fiction series. Free and open to the public

How come Vellekoop’s show is only for those 18 and up? Gay pin-ups, excellent, I’m going to get copies for all of my family for Christmas.
