Much like how the world of comics works, the Titans took out the bad guy in season one just in time for a new evil to appear in the first full-length trailer for season 2 of DC Universe’s frontrunner series which will premiere in just over a week.
DC Universe released the first full trailer for Titans season 2 on Tuesday. While season 1 was all about the seemingly mismatched team finding each other, now they face the struggle of making sure they’re able to stay together during the growing pains.
Among the many things that the two-minute preview included, we see Hawk and Dove (Alan Richson and Minka Kelly) at odds about their superhero lifestyle; an on-brand moody Jason Todd (Curran Walters) getting a bit tetchy with Dick Grayson; Gar (Ryan Potter), Jason Todd, and Rachel (Teagan Croft) training at their new Titans Tower base; Kori (Anna Diop) appearing to be kidnapped; and of course, the fun way that the new addition to the team, Connor Kent (Joshua Orpin), finds his Superboy shirt. Though clearly, one of the crowning moments towards the end of the trailer where Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) asks his former mentor Bruce Wayne (Iain Glen) if he would do it all again for someone who just wants to leave.
Ultimately, the trailer builds to the reveal of Slade Wilson (Esai Morales) — AKA “Deathstroke” — who is ready to bring light to past mistakes of the Titans.
Set to premiere Friday, September 6, Titans season 2 will see Dick Grayson bringing the Titans family back together with the previously unfinished tension with Trigon, and ready to face themselves against whole new evil. Check out the trailer below.
