Last year, fan-favorite writer Erica Schultz along with artist Carola Borelli and colorist Gab Contreras successfully funded a Kickstarter for The Deadliest Bouquet, a 120 page full-color original graphic novel. If you didn’t get on board the crowdfunding campaign, don’t fret, for the book is making the leap to floppies as a five-issue miniseries from Image Comics in August.

Here’s how the publisher describes the miniseries:

In The Deadliest Bouquet, Jasmine Hawthorn—a hard-edged Nazi hunter who trained her daughters in the art of espionage—finally has her complicated past catch up to her. Now it’s up to estranged sisters Rose, Poppy, and Violet to solve their mother’s murder… that is, if they can avoid killing each other in the process.

Characterized as “Charmed meets Charlie’s Angels wrapped in plenty of late ’90s era nostalgia,” Schultz is thrilled to see it coming to print from the Portland-based publisher:

“This story has kicked around in my head for a long time, so it’s amazing to see it in print from Image!”

Borelli added:

“The story of the three sisters got me involved from the first moment. It has everything I ever wanted to read in a comic.”

Be sure to check out our very own Deanna Destito‘s interview last year with Schultz about The Deadliest Bouquet Kickstarter.

The first issue of the miniseries will feature a main cover drawn by Adriana Melo, as well as additional covers by Natasha Alterici and Liana Kangas.
