Food has been an integral part of the Star Wars galaxy since Aunt Beru first poured Luke a tall, cool glass of blue milk, but now Le Creuset is bringing a galaxy far, far away to a kitchen near you.
On November 1st, Le Creuset is releasing a line of Star Wars-inspired cookware that includes a Han Solo in Carbonite Roaster and a Darth Vader Dutch Oven. You’ll want to start saving your credits now if you’re hoping to secure either of these items, however, as the Roaster will run $450 while the Vader Dutch Oven will retail for $395.
Fortunately, for those trying to run a Resistance on a budget, there are a few more affordable items in the collection, as well. In addition to a trio of droid-themed Mini Cocottes featuring R2-D2, C-3PO, and BB-8 that will retail for $30 apiece, there’s also a $25 Porg pie bird.
The collection also includes a pair of trivets that will retail for $20 each, and conveniently represent both the dark and the light, as there is the option of either the Death Star or the Millennium Falcon.
Those who prefer somewhat more rarified cookware will want to set their sights on the final piece in the collection: the Tatooine Round Dutch Oven. This beautiful piece of cookware features Tatooine’s binary sunset, and thanks to the fact that only nine will be produced worldwide, it’s sure to be the target of every bounty hunter between here and Wild Space. You can enter for a chance to buy the $900 dutch oven on the La Creuset website.
The Star Wars x Le Creuset collection will be available online in Australia, Canada, and the United States, as well as at Yuppiechef and select Le Creuset Boutiques and Outlet stores. This limited collection will not be reproduced, so if you want to get your hands on this cookware, mark November 1st on your calendar and start warming up your podracer engines now.
