As Energon Universe reader are aware, the ninja organization Clan Arashikage made its debut in the Scarlett miniseries from 2024. While Skybound is still playing coy when fan-favorite character Snake Eyes will be introduced, at least Storm Shadow is now in play. Since the conclusion of the miniseries, neither Storm Shadow nor Scarlett have been seen. That changes with G.I. Joe #21 this April from the creative team of writer Joshua Williamson (DC K.O.), artist Tom Reilly (Duke, Ant-Man), and letterer Rus Wooton (Invincible Universe: Battle Beast), arriving in stores April 15, 2026.

Here’s what the publisher teased:

Storm Shadow and Scarlett return! The Arashikage and Cobra have met once before…prepare for ROUND TWO! Will G.I. JOE be forced to put a stop to it? “Fans have been demanding the return of Storm Shadow and Scarlett for nearly two years and they won’t be disappointed,” noted Executive Editor Ben Abernathy. “This is the next step on the road to the historic G.I. JOE #25 coming this summer…don’t miss it!”
