On the weekend of September 17 through 18, comic fans headed to Bethesda, MD for the Small Press Expo, and in attendance was Bulgilhan Press, a small press comics publisher making new and self-indulgent comics, owned and operated by Zach Clemente. The publisher brought two new comics with it, and we’re spotlighting the first one, Die Horny, this week.

Created by Eisner Award winner Rebecca Mock (Salt Magic) the comic is described as “a wholesome comic for sickos.” Read why below:

Lovebirds Iggy (human) and Wortizabella (monster) have just set off on their romantic honeymoon tour of the wasteland. Before they can get too hot and heavy, they’re drawn into a conflict between humans and monsters! But these lovebirds aren’t exactly the conventional allies either side might have hoped for…Die Horny is a love letter to Power Rangers, pervy 90’s anime, and a desire to create something entirely catered to Mock’s taste, to terrifying and liberating results.”

Mock is an illustrator, animator, comic book artist, educator, writer, fandom enthusiast, and “recovering anime club president” based in Brooklyn whose work has been featured on brand websites, book covers, magazines, advertisements, in video games, and on television.

Die Horny is available in stores and on the publisher’s website.
