At San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, Hasbro revealed a brand new My Little Pony animated series, Forever Friendship, debuting in 2027.
My Little Pony: Forever Friendship will be available exclusively on YouTube and introduce a new generation of adventures building on the legacy of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. The new series, which boasts a different visual aesthetic from its predecessor, will feature four characters from the Mane Six: Twilight Sparkle (Jenna Weir), Rainbow Dash (Ava Preston), Fluttershy (Kayla Samson), and Pinkie Pie (Kaya Kanashiro).
Hasbro also revealed the song “Forever Friendship,” which is streaming now across all major platforms. According to the company, the song “officially launches the brand’s Neigh-Pop era,” developed in collaboration with Magic Star A&R.
Prior to the official Forever Friendship announcement, My Little Pony fans expressed concern about the absence of Rarity and Applejack from official merchandise, including new collectible Hasbro x Kayou figures and trading cards for the new MLP TCG. It’s unclear whether Rarity and Apple Jack will appear in the new series, but here’s hoping the Mane Six hasn’t been split up for good.
