It’s hard to top Krakoa but Marvel will try as it unveils its plans for the X-MEN: FROM THE ASHES era. Here’s a detailed list of all that’s about to happen plus yet another on-the-ground recap and interior page reveals by Beau Q.
The panel started by showcasing interior pages for all of its X-Men comics, which you can see in our gallery here. There are multiple X-Men, X-Factor, and Nyx interiors featured on display with the credited artists listed in each one just below.
As for news about the X-Men, there’s a new character in Uncanny X-Men named Jitter who has trouble focusing in real-time, but has the power to hyper-focus for one minute.
In the later Q and A segment, an audience member asked about Jitter to writer Gail Simone, “Can Jitter copy Wolverine’s powers for a minute?”
To which Simone replied, “…Please read Uncanny X-Men.”
There was also the big reveal of “The Krakoan” villain from NYX, revealed to be someone from Academy X. You can see him for the first time just below.
The biggest reveal was Alyssa Wong’s appearance on stage revealing that she’ll in fact, be writing a brand new Psylocke story. Details of which are in the solicit. They also showcased a non-colored interior panel from Mystique #1 by Declan Shalvey.
Some gems from the Q and A:
C.B. has thanked Brevoort for being Avengers editor for 26 years and now moving over to the X-Office. It was revealed that Dazzler’s ongoing writer, Jason Loo, will also be writing brand new Dazzler songs/lyrics in every issue.
And that’s all. Now here’s the official details from Marvel.

On Sale 11/13
SHE WAS MADE FOR VIOLENCE! Trained to be an assassin since birth, Kwannon chose to be an X-Man. But there are still some jobs too dirty for the X-Men. And some paths have to be walked alone. When the mission is brutal, Psylocke unsheathes her blades to punish those who prey on mutants. And her upcoming adventures in this new series feature appearances by her lover Greycrow, shed light on her brutal upbringing with the Hand, and introduce a twisted super villain called the Taxonomist!
Just out of the Marvel Comics: X-Men: From the Ashes Panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Editor in Chief C.B. Cebulski, Executive Editor Tom Brevoort, and a host of X-Men creators gave fans the scoop on what’s to come in the exciting new era of X-Men comics storytelling, including the reveal of all-new solo ongoing series this November —PSYLOCKE!
Written by Alyssa Wong, known for their acclaimed work on Star Wars: Doctor Aphra and Deadpool, and drawn by rising star Vincenzo Carratù, the artist currently delivering explosive vampire slaying action in Dracula: Blood Hunt.
“Everything in her history points her to the path of a villain. Her background is so full of tragedy—so why does she choose to be a hero?” Wong shared. “This is a dark emotional character story. But it will also be a ton of fun as well. I’m excited to do something super dark”
PSYLOCKE will tie into the character’s current status quo established in Jed MacKay and Ryan Stegman’s X-Men #1 where she lends her deadly expertise to Cyclops’ team of X-Men operating out of Alaska. However, there are missions that aren’t suitable for the X-Men and require Psylocke to embrace the teachings of her dark past!
