What happens when four of the most iconic gals in comic book history meet up for an unlikely teamup? It seems the answer is a hit miniseries so in demand that Dynamite and Archie Comics are adding more issues. Originally a six-issue crossover, Red Sonja & Vampirella Meet Betty & Veronica has garnered such a positive response that the publishers have doubled its run to 12 installments.

Writer Amy Chu (Poison Ivy, Green Hornet) and artist Maria Sanapo (Sheen Queen of the Jungle, Charmed) will continue their run with issue #7 this fall, extending the adventures of the group for another arc. Also staying on are colorist Vinicius Andrade and letterer Taylor Esposito of Ghost Glyph Studios. Covers will include top-notch work from Fay Dalton, Robert Hack, Laura Braga, Dan Parent, and Cat Staggs.

In the first arc, the Riverdale girls, Vampi, and Sonja are investigating the supernatural murders plaguing the entire town. It takes all four girls to figure out just what is going on and who is behind it all. Chu promises another exciting plot that fans will love.

“I literally just saw the sales numbers for the first issue and my jaw dropped! I’ve been completely bowled over by the amount of support for this series,” said Chu. “Of course I’m excited to continue with the series as long as the fans want. This is my first time working in the Archie universe, and it’s been non-stop fun working with Maria. Expect even crazier antics with this next arc!”

Red Sonja & Vampirella Meet Betty & Veronica #7 will be available for preorder in September. Make sure to tell your local comic shop to order your copy ahead of the release in November. The issue will also release on digital platforms such as Comixology, Kindle, iBooks, Google Play, Dynamite Digital, ComicsPlus, and more.
