The Beat has gotten an exclusive look at a brand-new Sabrina one-shot from Archie Comics, titled Sabrina the Teenage Witch: Magic Unleashed #1.

Archie Comics has gotten into the habit of releasing Sabrina Spellman-centric annuals, but this September fans will get to read a huge, thirty-page story that brings together old foes to take everyone’s favorite witch down. Not only is Mother Striga, mother of all witches, back, but Mad Doc Doom and his daughter Medusa return after being introduced in this spring’s Betty & Veronica: Friends Forever: Spy Girls #1.

Read the official description of the issue below:

Now packed with 30 PAGES of story content, including a BRAND-NEW STORY! Sabrina’s greatest foe, the evil witch Mother Striga, is back and this time she’s enlisted the aid of the wicked scientist Mad Doc Doom and his daughter Medusa! Will the powers of science be too much for Sabrina’s magic, and who can she turn to for help? Plus, a SPECIAL COLLECTOR’S EDITION VARIANT COVER featuring the art from the very first appearance of Sabrina in comics!

This new story will feature art from Steve Butler, writing from Craig Boldman, inks from Lily Butler, colors from Glenn Whitmore, and letters from Jack Morelli. The main cover art is handled by Vincent Lovallo, Dan Parent and Rosario “Tito” Peña, with a variant by Dan DeCarlo, Rudy Lapick and Vincent DeCarlo based on Sabrina’s first comic book appearance. There’s a fair amount of nostalgia accompanying this comic, as has been the case with most of the series under the Archie Comics banner. Sabrina became a household in in the 1970s, when Filmation brought the titular witch to CBS in animated format. She would go on to spark revivals and reinterpretations over the years.

Sabrina the Teenage Witch: Magic Unleashed #1 debuts on September 3.
