Marvel Television has announced the Punisher Disney+ special, now titled The Punisher: One Last Kill, will be released on Tuesday, May 12. It will arrive a week after the second season finale of Daredevil: Born Again. Actor Jon Bernthal, who also wrote the special with director Reinaldo Marcus Green (King Richard), revealed the teaser artwork on his Instagram.
Few details have been confirmed about the plot about the special, which will mark the first solo live-action Punisher project since the conclusion of his Netflix series in 2019, and Marvel’s first Disney+ special since 2022’s Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. It will reportedly be their longest yet at 60 mins, surpassing Werewolf by Night (the first Marvel Disney+ special), which was 53 mins long.
In the meantime, Daredevil: Born Again season two will premiere tonight, at 9pm ET, and run for seven weeks, with episodes two and three set to be released together next week. Bernthal will also appear as the Punisher in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, releasing in theaters on July 31.
Further MCU TV projects currently confirmed to be in the works include VisionQuest, the continuation of WandaVision and Agatha All Along premiering later this year; Daredevil: Born Again season three; and the newly confirmed second season of Wonder Man. Other Marvel shows releasing on Disney+ later in 2026 will include the second seasons of X-Men ’97, and Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
