How do you prefer your ghosts? Would you rather have actual phantasms in need of busting? Or do you prefer villainous people in masks and costumes? In either case, Playmobil has you set with their new lines of toys featuring Scooby Doo and Ghostbusters. Prefer time travel? Check out the Back to the Future line!

Fans of Scooby Doo should be excited that the entire gang and the Mystery Machine will hit store shelves. Playmobil did a great job on the Mystery Machine; it has many features. The roof opens up for play, the van door slides open, and the rear doors open as well. It’s big enough to fit the whole gang.

Each Playmobil Scooby Doo figures come with accessories fitting with each character. Check out Shaggy’s burger.

There will also be a line of blind bagged monsters, taken right from actual Scooby Doo episodes. Like on the Scooby Doo show, the Playmobil monsters have masks to be removed revealing the real villain underneath.

Playmobil is also releasing scenario packs of vehicles, figures and accessories, with scenes taken straight from the Scooby Doo show.

The most impressive piece of the Scooby Doo line was easily the haunted mansion. Demoing this toy felt like playing with old school playsets from the 1980s. There are many moving features to the toy, including a set of stairs that changes into a ramp, sending heroes sliding down to their fate. The coloring and detail on the Playmobil Scooby Doo haunted mansion looks fantastic and as if it was pulled right from the cartoon.

Next up is Playmobil’s Back to the Future line, which we received a sneak peak of at NYCC 2019. The line comes complete with Marty, Doc, Einstein, and of course, the Delorean.

As you can see in the photos above and below, the Delorean will have light up LED lights built into it, and have fully functional top opening doors, just like the real Delorean.

For those of you looking to recreate the exciting ending of Back to the Future, this Delorean has fold down wheels so that the car can enter flying mode before heading off to the future.

Ghostbusters has been a successful license for the toy company, and they had new additions to their Ghostbusters collection to show off at Toy Fair. This mini-firehouse set below is designed for kids to take with them on the go. It folds up into its own carrying case and is very portable. It’s small enough to fit in a standard sized backpack. The set comes with the most iconic ghost from Ghostbusters, Slimer, as well as a Ghostbuster figure, complete with proton pack and ghost trap.

  1. I feel sorry for kids today, who don’t have toys from their own entertainment. Everything is hand-me-downs from Generation X and the ’80s.
