If the crowds at New York Comic Con have you wanting to peel off your own skin, then be sure to escape to the Invincible Vs offsite happening Friday at OS NYC. You can also go after the convention closes, as the one-day preview of Invincible Vs goes from 3 p.m. to midnight ET.
Invincible Vs is a 3v3 tag fighting game slated for release in 2026 from Skybound and studio Quarter Up. Adapted from the Image Comics series written by Robert Kirkman, illustrated by Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley, and featuring art stylistically similar to the Amazon Prime animated series based on the source material, the game features multiple playable characters from the series.
NYCC attendees can get a first look at the gameplay without having to apply to be an official tester.
Skybound hosted a party Thursday to kick off the event. Comics pros Todd Nauck, Kyle Higgins, and others were in attendance. Pizza was provided by Prince St Pizza, and Voodoo Ranger kept the beer flowing. Dimi DJed all night while dressed as Invincible.
But while the launch party is over, fans who want to play Invincible Vs. can head down to OS NYC today to try the game out. They have plenty of rigs set up, and players can choose between Invincible, Rex Splode, Atom Eve, Omni-Man, Thula, Bulletproof, Battle Beast and Cecil. I played five rounds of the 3v3 fighter last night, and the game is a lot of fun! But one thing, because OS NYC is a bar, the event is only open to fans 21 and up.
OS NYC is located at 50 Bowery, directly across from the Manhattan Bridge.
