Spotted at ComiPress and all other manga news outlets: CLAMP’s latest, Kobato, will be serialized in Newtype magazine:
Newtype USA, the leading anime magazine in North America, is pleased to announce a special agreement with manga powerhouse CLAMP (Chobits, Tsubasa) to exclusively serialize the creative team’s latest effort, Kobato, in the pages of the magazine. This will mark the English-language debut of this highly anticipated new manga, and it will be the only way to read Kobato during the course of its serial run.
Kobato is the story of a simple-minded girl named – you guessed it – Kobato, who goes around fixing other people’s problems. Her good-natured determination will surely cheer up even the darkest hearts, and her klutzy antics will charm all kinds of anime and manga fans!
Kobato will begin its serial run in the June 2007 issue of Newtype USA. It will continue its exclusive serialization through the May 2008 issue, comprising 12 installments in total. Each installment will include gorgeous full-color spreads, along with standard black-and-white manga art.

Newtype USA Vol. 6, Issue 6 will be available June 1, 2007.
