Look alive, everypony! On March 31, BOOM! Studios launched a Kickstarter campaign for My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic Rainbow Collection, a five-volume hardcover set of the MLP comics licensed by Hasbro and originally published by IDW.
With two weeks left in the direct reserve campaign, it’s surpassed its $25 thousand goal by more than $200 thousand—and pledges are still pouring in.
The My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic Rainbow Collection features every volume of the original comics series (1-19) in four books, as well as all three volumes of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic Season 10 and Holiday Memories in a fifth.

“The BOOM! team has been patiently waiting over a decade to finally have the opportunity to gallivant with our lovely, colorful Pony friends,” said BOOM! deputy publisher Bryce Carlson. “Ahead of our brand-new publishing plans, we are absolutely thrilled to republish the incredible work from all the amazing contributing talent and bring everypony the most magical, sparkliest editions of Friendship Is Magic that they’ve ever seen.”
Kickstarter backers can get a deluxe reprint of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic #1 (2012) for $25; a Vol. 1 hardcover for $60; digital copies of all five books for $275; hardcover copies of all five books for $300; or slipcased editions with additional goodies starting at $400.
The two highest tiers include a copy of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic #1 with a black-and-white sketch cover. Each backer at these tiers will receive a hand-drawn, original piece from a creator who worked on the comics: Katie Cook; Andy Price; Tony Fleecs; Sara Richard; Trish Forstner; Agnes Garbowska; Asia Simone; Amy Mebberson; or Brenda Hickey.
At time of writing, eight stretch goals have been unlocked, including foil for covers and slipcases; add-on pins, stickers, and lanyards; a journal; and more. BOOM! has several more stretch goals for backers to claim, so watch the campaign page if you’re hoping for a particular reward type.
