Young boys will soon be able to leave skidmarks in their favorite Hulk briefs, just as their forefathers once did before them, while they clump around the house in their Spidey Crocs.. Marvel has signed licensing deals with Fruit of the Loom and Crocs:

Fruit of the Loom will initially create products based on upcoming Marvel Studios feature films ‘Iron Man’ and ‘The Incredible Hulk.’

Marvel said the underwear maker will later expand its product line to include other comic characters.

Additionally, Marvel signed a deal with Crocs Inc. to develop a line of footwear based on a range of the company’s super heroes, including Spider-Man and Fantastic Four.

The New York-based company also expanded its multi-year license agreement with apparel licensee Kids Headquarters to expand Marvel-branded apparel to include merchandise based on Incredible Hulk.

We want our own Wolverine boxers! Luckily, with the waistline expansion of American youth, The Beat should have no trouble fitting into a “large.”

  1. I really, really hope that this one time, just this one time, that FotL and Crocs create some of this merchandise FOR GIRLS!!!!!

My daughter is 3 years old and loves superheroes like Spider-Man, Batman, et al. There is NO such-themed clothing for her. Sure there is the occasional Wonder Woman or Spider-Girl item, but if she wants a Spider-MAN shirt, we have to go to the boys section*. She would be thrilled to add Spidey underwear to her Dora and Curious George.

Of course, she would prefer Galactus** Underwear, but I doubt there’s going to be those for boys either.

    *She does.
** Seriously. She’s got all my old action figures, and the really big Galactus from the early 90’s is her favorite. She used to sleep with him for a while.

  2. Actually, I’m jealous of my BF’s Superman briefs. They should make superhero undies for women too. I think only then will we truly achieve equality.
