Next week we finally get the culmination of 10 years worth of Marvel films when Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters. From your console to your mobile phones nearly all the current Marvel licensed games are getting some of that Infinity War heat in the lead into one of the biggest movies of 2018.

If you already own LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 then you were aware the game would be joining the galaxy’s worth of tie-in merchandising capitalizing on the heat from the film. Today, Warner Bros dropped a big piece of info pertaining to what fans of LEGO Marvel can expect in the upcoming Infinity War DLC content.

Play as Thanos!

Here’s the official word from the company’s press release:

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today revealed the content for the Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War Character and Level Pack, the new DLC for LEGO® Marvel Super Heroes 2. The upcoming pack, available at $2.99, adds a level and characters straight from the comics in celebration of the upcoming film, Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War, in theaters nationwide on April 27.

This action-packed level offers players the chance to control Thanos, one of the most dangerous Super Villains in the Marvel Universe, and his ruthless army. The Mad Titan and the Children of Thanos have invaded Attilan to take on Black Bolt and the Inhumans in an all-new original game level. Working as a team, the menacing crew must work their way through the various levels of Attilan before they are given the opportunity to break through to Black Bolt’s throne. New unlockable characters Thanos, Corvus Glaive, Cull Obsidian, Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw, Hulkbuster 2.0, and Groot (Avengers: Infinity War) add to the main game’s roster of over 200 Super Heroes and Super Villains.

Shine up your space chair!

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is available now on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

The mobile fighting game, Marvel Contest of Champions is getting all-new in-game Infinity War challenge featuring the characters in the upcoming film. Even bigger news is the names supporting the event, none other than Black Panther and Spider-Man themselves Chadwick Boseman and Tom Holland. Here’s the official details from developer Kabam’s press release:

Chadwick and Tom’s Champion Challenge (April 19 – May 17)

·         The talent behind Spider-Man and Black Panther’s masks have prepared Chadwick & Tom’s Champion Challenge for players. ·         Players can face Spider-Man and Black Panther’s personally-curated teams across four quests – all leading to a confrontation with the Mad Titan Thanos.

·         Those who explore the entirety of Chadwick and Tom’s Champion Challenge will receive the rare “Infinity Warrior” title. The top 100 fastest players will also receive a “Legends” title, Legends points and a Tier 4 Class Catalyst Crystal.

One of Marvel’s most recent releases on mobile Marvel Strike Force is getting a big event of its own. The turn based combat game has been invaded by Thanos in a quest for the Infinity Gems (I’m still calling them gems, piss off). Players are getting a new event and loot raids where every level completed earns shards towards unlocking The Mad Titan character for use in the game.

Both events for Contest of Champions and Strike Force are only around for a limited time so put the books away and play games on your phone for the next 30 days.
