Margot Wood has joined Image Comics as VP of Book Market Sales at Image Comics, where she will oversee the publishers book market sales efforts and work with their distributor, Simon & Schuster. Wood will report directly to Eric Stephenson, Publisher & Chief Creative Officer at Image. Chloe Ramos, Image’s Book Market & Library Sales Manager, will now report to Wood.

Wood replaces former VP of Sales & Publishing Planning, Matt Parkinson, who left the company recently. Her duties at Image don’t seem to include the direct sales market, which is currently under director Alex Cox.
Image has clarified their org chart. Margot Wood, Alex Cox, Dirk Wood, and Lorelei Bunjes all report directly to Eric Stephenson. Their direct reports, and titles are all listed below:

Wood, a nine year publishing industry veteran, was previously Director of Marketing & Sales at Oni Press and worked in marketing at HarperCollins Publishers. In her time at Oni, she worked on such books as s Bryan Lee O’Malley’s Scott Pilgrim, Katie O’Neill’s The Tea Dragon Society, by Archie Bongiovanni and Tristan Jimerson’ A Quick & Easy Guide to They/Them Pronouns, Brenna Thummler’s Sheets, Maia Kobabe’s Gender Queer, and Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon’s Rick & Morty comics. At HarperCollins she worked on such graphic novels as, ND Stevenson’s Nimona and Neil Gaiman & P. Craig Russell’s The Graveyard Book Graphic Novel Vol. 1 & Vol. 2.
