As Kaiju No. 8 Season 2 prepares to wrap later this month, Crunchyroll has announced that fans will soon be able to relive every monstrous battle at home. Kaiju No. 8 Season 1 arrives on Blu-ray on December 9, 2025, just in time for the holidays, with both standard and deluxe editions available.

The Limited Edition Blu-ray set comes packaged in a glow-in-the-dark collector’s box and slipcover, making it as eye-catching as the kaiju themselves. The set also includes:

  • A glow-in-the-dark acrylic standee of Kaiju No. 8

  • Five art character cards featuring Kafka, Reno, Kikoru, Hoshina, and Mina

  • A special metal-finish art card of Kaiju No. 8

  • A massive 160-page art book filled with Japanese staff interviews, storyboards, and concept art

Both the standard and limited editions will feature bonus content, including promo videos, music videos, and textless versions of the anime’s opening and ending themes.

Kaiju No. 8 follows Kafka Hibino, an ordinary man living in a world terrorized by giant kaiju. After a fateful encounter, Kafka gains the ability to transform into a kaiju himself. Balancing his monstrous new power with his dream of joining the Defense Force, Kafka must fight to protect humanity while grappling with what he has become.

The anime, adapted from Naoya Matsumoto’s hit manga, has quickly become one of the standout new series of the decade, earning praise for its monster designs, thrilling action, and heartfelt story of friendship and perseverance.
