In an article posted to the official Star Trek website on Wednesday, January 12th, 2022, it was announced that Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine) and Michelle Hurd (Raffi) will be starring in a Star Trek: Picard: No Man’s Land, a new audio drama from Simon & Schuster Audio set in the immediate aftermath of the first season of Star Trek: Picard.
The original audio drama will be available on Audible on February 22nd, 2022.
Star Trek: Picard: No Man’s Land
According to the information released about the audio drama so far, No Man’s Land will see Seven and Raffi enjoying some time together at Raffi’s remote hideaway… at least, until they get an urgent call from the Fenris Rangers, anyway! The organization with which Seven is arguably most closely allied at this point in the Star Trek timeline needs assistance with a planetary evacuation.
In addition to rescuing an apparently ageless professor who has found himself in the crosshairs of a Romulan warlord, the story will see Raffi and Seven beginning to explore the fledgling romance we saw in the final moments of Picard’s first season.
In addition to the voice acting talents of Ryan and Hurd, the cast of No Man’s Land will also include Fred Tatasciore (Lt. Shax on Star Trek: Lower Decks), John Kassir (the Cryptkeeper on Tales from the Crypt), and John Cutmore-Scott (Deception). Plus, familiar sound effects from the Picard universe, like phasers and transporters, will be heard in the audio drama as well.
No Man’s Land is written by Kirsten Beyer, who is a co-creator, writer, and producer on Picard on Paramount+, and Mike Johnson, who has contributed to the Star Trek comics published by IDW Publishing.
This is not the first collaboration between Beyer and Johnson to have been recently announced: last month, it was revealed that the pair will also be working together on Star Trek: Discovery – Adventures in the 32nd Century, an upcoming five-issue anthology series from IDW that will spotlight various supporting members of the DISCO crew (including Queen Grudge the Cat and Linus the sinus-infection prone science office).
Available 2/22/22
No Man’s Land will be available on Audible on February 2nd, but it’s available for preorder now.
