Jeff Smith is working on a new comic!!!!! According to his blog:
The image above is the cover for a 6 page preview comic I’m working on for the San Diego Comic-Con International. It’s also going to be the cover of RASL no.1 when the series starts coming out from Cartoon Books in 2008.
Best news of the week, for sure.
Hot dang, that cover made my heart race a little.
Any speculations as to what it’s about?
I’m guessin’ it’s about wrasslin’! That guy looks like he’s in a world of hurt!
Give ’em the old RASL-dasl…
I’ve been looking at that thing all day and I just now realized that it’s a human face. When I saw it up until now I saw a rose (or at least a flower) on an abstract background.
I’m so glad that Jeff Smith is following up Bone with new work so quickly. A lot of times, artists do a major project and then aren’t heard from again for years, or never. Or, when they do resurface, it just ain’t the same. So, go Jeff Smith!
Ha, Jack, I thought the same thing. Something about it looks very Evan-Dorkin-esque to me, which is a good thing. I’m dying to find out what it’s about, is RASL an acronym? What a cool teaser for fans of Jeff’s work.
Interesting Cover! I want to know more about the comic!
