The summer movie season must be nearing full swing: we have a 007 sighting.  “Skyfall” isn’t due out until the Fall, but the first trailer has already turned up:

Sam Mendes (known in comic circles for the film adaption of Road to Perdition) is the director this time around and there certainly are a few striking visuals in the trailer.  This trailer doesn’t give away the secret of what “skyfall” means, but apparently the word is a plot point.  Not much Javier Bardem in this trailer, save what is probably his silhouette.  Then again, that’s why they call the first trailer a teaser…

  1. Clearly you haven’t watched the Roger Moore films…and if you have, you have no idea what you’re talking about!

  2. My problem with the two new bond films is the lack of humor, they are way too serious. I would say Ghost Protocol had a more bond vibe even without the sexual innuendo and random gambling.

  3. @Todd Allen

ABSOLUTELY correct. They removed every bit of Bond and what makes him special and made it so you could have slid any actor into that part… say, Matt Damon!
