The Beat had a fantastic chat with the legendary icon Phylicia Rashad (For Colored Girls) and the stellar Mamoudou Athie (The Get Down) about their upcoming psychological horror thriller, Black Box!
The film follows Nolan (Athie), who suffers memory loss after an accident that also claimed the life of his wife. Trying to find healing so he can better care for his young daughter, Ava (Amanda Christine, How to Get Away with Murder), he enrolls in an experimental treatment plan with Dr. Lillian Brooks (Rashad) that goes awry and unlocks a world of secrets.
