Are you trying to find family-friendly comics that feature the most adorable puppies and kitties on the printed page? Good news, everyone! The Beat has some pet comics that are making their way homeward bound to you as we speak!

Here are three upcoming graphic novels that are sure to scratch your itch for pet comics (and never fear – even those with pet allergies can enjoy these books)!

Agent 9: Flood-A-Geddon

Pet Comics: Agent 9: Flood-A-Geddon!

Does it seem like it’s the end of the world? Never fear, Agent 9 is here in Agent 9: Flood-A-Geddon by James Burks (Bird & Squirrel), available next week on Tuesday, March 16th, 2021. In this comic, the feline Agent 9 works for the Super-Secret Spy Service – but he’s put on probation when a job results in the destruction of a priceless Pigasso painting.

But what happens when the evil King Crab takes over S4 HQ?! Find out in Agent 9: Flood-A-Geddon, available at your local bookstore or comic shop next week!

Kitty Quest

Pet Comics: Kitty Quest

In Kitty Quest by Phil Corbett, available on June 15th, 2021, you can join a cast of cats as they go on quest in the mythical world of Pawdor! We’re assuming that one does not simply walk into Pawdor, so this is probably going to be quite the adventure.

The comic is described as the first in a graphic novel series, which is good news, considering the first entry looks amazing (few things are more appealing than a map in a fantasy comic)!

Mellybean and the Wicked Wizard

Pet Comics: Mellybean and the Wicked Wizard

In Mellybean and the Wicked Wizard by Mike White, available on June 15th, 2021, Wilma – the wizard responsible for stealing Narra’s tail – returns to cause even more trouble. Will Mellybean be successful in protecting the world from the selfish wizard?

Mellybean and the Wicked Wizard is a sequel to Mellybean and the Giant Monster, which is available now at your local bookstore or public library. If you’re curious what the first comic is about, you can watch this book trailer:

Pet Comics Now!
