I have to admit that I’m less than thrilled, although I’m certainly into the benefit of the doubt. The all-black costume just doesn’t work for me. It looks more like “Frank Miller’s The Spirit” than “Will Eisner’s The Spirit.” I know I’ll always have my comics to read, but I’m afraid that this may end up as Sin City-light. And Sin City was only interesting through the first 2 stories. If we end up with ever-so-arch dialogue like Sin City, which rolled over into camp, then I’m just not gonna be interested.
I’ll be curious to see the preview panel this weekend.
And why are we seeing the Octopus? Hello?
This looks pretty camp. I’m not so sure about this –ironically it looks comic booky which is not a good thing.
It’s too Sin City. Sadly.
