IDW has announced that the publisher will be celebrating Star Trek‘s 60th anniversary this year with multiple new titles.
Originally debuting on September 8th, 1966 in the United States, Star Trek: The Original Series (and by extension, the Franchise it spawned) turns sixty years old this year. And to celebrate, IDW is bringing out a one-shot and several mystery titles.

The concrete announcement attached to IDW’s “exclusive reveal” over at CBR? Another celebratory one-shot, titled Star Trek: 60th Anniversary Special. This will join previous one-shots Star Trek #400 (2022) and Star Trek #500 (2024), both of which will be included alongside the new one-shot in a deluxe edition of Star Trek: 60th Anniversary Special.
The new one-shot will join another previously announced one-shot arriving in February 2026, Star Trek: Deviations: Threads of Destiny. In this alternate timeline story, Nyota Uhura travels back to 1963 through the Guardian of Forever, first introduced in the seminal TOS episode “The City on the Edge of Forever.”
In addition to this one-shot, IDW has also promised the arrival of multiple new Franchise titles in 2026. This makes sense, considering the impending conclusion of the currently ongoing miniseries Star Trek: Voyager – Homecoming, and the recent conclusion of two additional miniseries, Star Trek: Red Shirts and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds: The Seeds of Salvation.
Of course, in 2026 you can also expect more from the exciting new ongoing flagship title, Star Trek: The Last Starship, as well as from the ongoing Star Trek: Lower Decks series. And you can bet that Comics Beat will continue to cover IDW’s Star Trek line, too.
