Next year is certainly shaping up to big one for the Green Lantern Corps. Lanterns, starring Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan and Aaron Pierre as John Stewart is set to debut on HBO Max. Though the official release date has yet to be announced, it’ll be sometime later in 2026 after Supergirl hits theaters. Before that though, over in DC publishing, the main Green Lantern title is set to celebrate its landmark 600th issue.

Back in 2023 when DC relaunched a new Green Lantern series with the creative team of writer Jeremy Adams and artist Xermanico. Over the last two years, Adams and his various other collaborators have restored not only the Green Lantern Corps to its former glory but the other Corps of the Emotional Spectrum. The landmark Green Lantern #600 will feature guest GL creators, most notably writer Ron Marz and artist Darryl Banks best known perhaps for creating fan-favorite GL Kyle Raynor in the ’90s.

It’s no exaggeration to say that relationship between Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris is a romance that gives even Batman and Catwoman a run for its money. Having reclaimed the mantle and powers of Star Sapphire, Carol has embraced superheroics even becoming a member of the Justice League Unlimited to boot. In the process, it appears Hal and Carol have rekindled the flames of love. As teased by the Green Lantern #600, Carol and Hal may be adding some new rings. If indeed Hal Jordan finally settles down, hopefully he experiences a better wedding than that of Batman and Catwoman
