As we mentioned the other day, one of the biggest fallouts from the Diamond Bankruptcy has been small publishers finding new distributors. And here’s another announcement: G-Man Comics is joining Philbo Publishing, the newish distro which specializes in indie presses.

Both entities are quite excited about the team-up, noting that “collaboration brings together two like-minded teams with a lifelong love of independent comics and a shared vision for building something meaningful together.”
In case you haven’t heard of G-Man Comics it’s a small outfit featuring superhero-ish tales founded by Rik Offenberger, Jim Burrows & Eric N. Bennett, featuring their own creations. As part of their announcement, their publishing schedule will rotate its lineup of ongoing titles in four-issue story arcs. These titles include the amusingly named Simon N. Kirby & The G-Men, Sgt. Flag, Taranis the Thunderlord, and Lynx.
Besides the founding writers Offenberger and Powell, the creative team includes cover artists Steven Butler, Rob Liefeld, Stefani Rennee, Marat Mychaels, Ron Frenz, Luis Rivera, OMG!, Eric Shanower, Mark Beachum, and Alan Faria. Interior artists include Gilbert Monsanto, Alan Faria, Arnoldo Jr., Luis Rivera, and Milton Estevam, and ongoing G-Men contributors Bobby Ragland, Henrique “Hique!” Pereira, Joshua 1:9 Holley, Ron Charles Williams, and Téo Pinheiro, all under editors Chris Squires, Martin Boruta and Ray MacKay.
So you see, even a small publishing company you might never have heard of can still have a lot of bold-faced names!
The news release doesn’t include the publishing schedule, but according to their website they’ll be starting a Kickstarter for a big crossover event on February 1.
And here’s some art, which is quite lively.
