LEGO Group‘s Black Friday/Cyber Monday (BFCM) event kicked off with an exciting reveal of the long-awaited official Star Trek brick-building set from LEGO. The LEGO Group, in partnership with Paramount Products & Experiences, officially revealed its design last week of the long-anticipated Star Trek brick-building set: a 3600-piece model of the Star Trek: The Next Generation starship, the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D, priced at $400, which comes out to be around 9 cents a piece and is a surprisingly good deal when you look at the piece-by-piece cost of a LEGO set.

First teased on Star Trek Day 2025, the Star Trek x LEGO collaboration is fulfilling the brick-building dreams of many lifelong Trekkies who grew up alongside both brands, which “have strong shared values of imagination, exploration and building a better tomorrow,” making it an ideal partnership for Trekkies and sci-fi geeks of all ages. Since the partnership was first announced in September, fans of these brands have been speculating that LEGO would bring the Enterprise-D to life (and some product images were even leaked last week that seemed to confirm these speculations). And excitingly, the fan rumors were right.

Check out the LEGO version of the Enterprise-D below:

A new LEGO Icons set, the Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D brick-building set, allows builders to craft a detailed replica of the iconic ship that measures 10.5 inches x 23.5 inches x 18.5 inches when on display and features a detachable command saucer, secondary hull, and the franchise’s distinctive warp nacelles with red and blue detailing. The LEGO set also includes nine minifigures from the Enterprise-D crew, including Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Commander William Riker, Lieutenant Worf, Lieutenant Commander Data, Dr. Beverly Crusher, Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge, Counsellor Deanna Troi, Bartender Guinan, and Wesley Crusher, each of which comes with unique themed accessories from their iconic appearances in TNG, respectively a teacup (Picard), trombone with stand (Riker), phaser (Worf), cat figure (Data’s cat Spot), tricorder (B. Crusher), engineering case (La Forge), PADD (Troi), bottle (Guinan), and portable tractor beam generator (W. Crusher).

The LEGO set is designed as a captivating sci-fi decor piece. As such, it comes with an angled display stand featuring an information plaque for the Enterprise-D model, along with a minifigure display tile bearing The Next Generation branding.

At the official LEGO BFCM livestream, where LEGO designers provided behind-the-scenes insights into the creation of the LEGO Icons Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D model, Commander Riker actor and long-time Star Trek director Jonathan Frakes said, “As Commander Riker, I spent a lot of time on the bridge of the Enterprise, and now fans can take the helm themselves… in LEGO brick form! This set is a fantastic way to relive the adventures of the crew, piece by piece.”

Brick-by-brick affordability!

And in true Star Trek style, the piece-by-piece build of this incredible set is affordable (well, at least if you have more money in the bank account than a pop culture journalist does). Priced at $400 ($399.99 to be exact), the 3600-piece set works out to cost the consumer 9 cents per LEGO. In contrast, One Piece’s Baratie Floating Restaurant set costs brick builders about 10.3 cents per LEGO, at $330 for a 3402-piece set. At the same time, The Lord of the RingsRivendell 6167-piece brick build costs approximately 12.3 cents per brick, totalling about $500 for the entire build. The Vincent Van Gogh – Sunflowers 2,615-piece set, at $200, works out to be about 13 cents per LEGO. Similarly, the new $1,000 Death Star set from Star Wars, with 9,023 pieces, is also about 9 cents per brick, whereas the T. Rex skull from Jurassic World is about 12.5 cents per brick. The Legend of Zelda‘s Great Deku Tree set costs approximately 8.3 cents per brick, making it one of the cheapest brick-by-brick sets available on LEGO’s official website, at least according to my calculations—and I didn’t have time to calculate the price for each set currently available.

From November 6th to December 1st, 2025, LEGO Insiders members will also have an opportunity to win a free Enterprise-D set autographed by Frakes. In addition, shoppers who purchase the new set between November 28th and December 1st, 2025, via LEGO.com/Star-Trek or LEGO Stores will receive the LEGO Icons Star Trek: Type-15 Shuttlepod as a Gift with Purchase (*while supplies last, T&Cs apply).
