In 2008, Marvel released Iron Man. The film, starring Robert Downey Jr., was an enormous success for both the actor and for Marvel. But at the very end of the film, when Nick Fury steps out and says “you’ve become part of a bigger universe. You just don’t know it yet,” I don’t think anyone knew how big the Marvel Cinematic Universe would become. And now, on May 4th, 2018, ten years and eighteen films come together in Avengers: Infinity War.

The trailer, released this morning, features an unfathomable number of the heroes we’ve come to know and love. Did you ever want to see Thor meet the Guardians of the Galaxy? Or Hulk meet Doctor Strange? Did you want to see Cap with a chiseled beard or Black Widow with blonde hair? It’s all here, folks.

Check out the trailer below and let us know what teased moment you’re looking forward to most.

  1. Eh, looks okay. All this “the culmination of ten years” is bollocks, though. These films are not nearly as meaningfully serialised as the fans like to pretend. By which I mean they don’t much build on each other to become greater than the sum of the episodes. This is just another, bigger, Marvel film to me. So what if they teased the villian a few times in other films. You could never talk about Thanos having a multiple film arc (at least not till Avengers 4, maybe).

    Should be fun, though.
