In the myth of the Children of Lir, a magic user named Dain attempts to steal the throne from his brother-in-law, Lit, by turning Lit’s children into swans. Although the eldest child, Fionna, vows to break the curse, they nevertheless spend a thousand years in the avian forms.

Subsequent creative teams will include Darcie Little Badger, Alexandra Fastovets, James Fenner, Em Niwa, Deron Bennett, and Bruka Jones.

And the series will feature main covers by del Mundo and variant covers by Mateus Manhanini.

The series is the latest in the Jim Henson’s The Storyteller series of comics, which is based on the Emmy Award-winning television series.

The Storyteller: Shapeshifters follows previous comic adaptations from BOOM! Studios, including 2021’s The Storyteller: Tricksters and 2020’s The Storyteller: Ghosts. Each of the previous Storyteller titles are available as TPBs now.
