Imperial, the event comic series by Jonathan Hickman, Iban Coello, and Federico Vincetini, has rocked the cosmic side of Marvel Comics. One of the more exciting elements of the event is the massive scale of it. If you’re going to have a story about an intergalactic war, then it better feel like the whole galaxy is involved. The Beat has an exclusive preview of the upcoming one-shot Imperial War: Planet She-Hulk, which will see the fight taking place on New Sakaar.
One of the great things about this series is the sheer range of characters appearing in it with ties to Marvel’s cosmic side. We’ve seen familiar cosmic characters like Nova, the Sh’iar Imperial Guard, and Super Skrull and alien races like the Kree and the Kymellians (POWER PACK REPRESENT!) appear. What’s been really fun is seeing characters with less familiar ties to outer space like Black Panther and the various Hulk characters.
She-Hulk, last seen in the pages of Imperial #1, was left behind on the savage planet by her cousin The Hulk. Left to uphold the law (she is Marvel’s most litigious hero), she finds that her brawn might be needed as much as her brains. Also she gets to mete out justice with a very large sword. Folks excited to see her in action with that massive blade will finally see it in the pages of Imperial War: Planet She Hulk.
The one-shot will be written by Phoenix writer Stephanie Phillips, with Hickman co-writing, and art by Emilio Laiso. This will be one of five one-shots under the Imperial War banner telling stories on the various fronts of this conflict. Check out the pages below.

Imperial War: Planet She Hulk is scheduled for release on August 27th. For more information go to Marvel.com
