Dorothy Spinner has been away for quite some time. She featured prominently in Grant Morrison’s and Richard Case’s Doom Patrol run as well as in Rachel Pollack’s subsequent run on the title. Since then, however, she’s only been seen briefly and in ancillary media such as the DC Universe’s Doom Patrol TV show. Now, however, in Doom Patrol: Weight of the Worlds #5, Dorothy is finally back in full force– and she’s pulling you into her story!

As Doom Patrol: Weight of the Worlds #5 begins, we meet Clark, a Doom Patrol mega-fan. He’s cantankerous and superstitious, believing in the ability to divine the future using Doom Patrol comics. One thing that he doesn’t expect, however, is to be pulled into an issue of the Doom Patrol by Dorothy Spinner herself! What happens next? Well…check out the Beat’s exclusive preview of this issue, out this Wednesday, after the jump, and then head to your local comics shop to find out!

Writers: Becky Cloonan & Michael Conrad

Clark is a comic book fan just like you, and his favorite title is Doom Patrol! But Clark’s fandom is put to the test when he literally falls into the reality of the world’s weirdest superheroes, where he must team up with long-lost Doom Patrol heroine Dorothy Spinner in her first appearance in more than a decade!
