Black Mask Studios is gearing up to release Gangster Ass Barista in November. The comic written by Pat Shand (Destiny NY) and illustrated by Renzo Rodriguez (Breathless) will feature covers by Conor Hughes (White Ash) and Elisa Romboli (Alice In Leatherland, A Thing Called Truth).

Read the synopsis from the publisher below:

“A COFFEE-FUELED CRIME COMEDY FROM PAT SHAND (DESTINY NY, AZZA THE BARBED, VAN HELSING)!

Trinity used to live a life of crime, but now she has left behind her old life and works at a coffee shop. Unfortunately, making ends meet isn’t easy to do with a minimum wage job. Not to mention the fact that customers are beginning to get on Trinity’s nerves, and it’s getting harder and harder to not let her old tendencies take control.

When Trinity’s past comes calling, it’s like the famous quote: ‘Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!’

Includes a bonus comic in each issue! With covers by rising stars Conor Hughes (WHITE ASH), Elisa Romboli (ALICE IN LEATHERLAND, A THING CALLED TRUTH), & series co-creator Renzo Rodriguez (BREATHLESS)!”

Shand said in a statement, “Gangster Ass Barista is a crime and comedy mash-up that is about having a good time and making readers laugh. Trinity is one of my favorite characters I’ve created because she’s such an absurd mixture of a good person with a horrible past trying to live her best life in service work. And having been in her place, slangin’ coffee at 5:30 AM, it’s not a great fit for those who are trying to NOT get into fights with people.”

Look for Gangster Ass Barista in comic shops on November 9. Ahead of the release, The Beat received an exclusive first look at the issue’s covers. Check them out here!
