Saturday AM has announced the next volume in the Massively Multiplayer World of Ghosts (MMWOG) series, and The Beat has an exclusive preview of the upcoming Vol. 2: A New Challenger. Created by Oscar Fong and Frederick L. Jones, MMWOG is an action-adventure series rated T for readers 13 and up.
The titular World of Ghosts is a secret society in which certain players can summon and fight battles against Ghosts. In MMWOG Vol. 2, the world is in utter chaos. Picking up where The Massively Multiplayer World of Ghosts Vol. 1 left off, with a massive battle between teenage protagonist Nilay Rao and the assassin Gato. Nilay hails from former, decorated players in the World of Ghosts, and acquiring the mythical Vyper Neo makes him capable of unseating the royal players and the balance of power within the organization.
Nilay’s father is determined to discover the Vyper’s connection to his wife’s disappearance. The stakes are high, especially when a new threat is posed against the Rao family, eager to take the Vyper Neo—and this arrival seems to be a family acquaintance. The Rao family will have to piece together the clues before it’s too late… which may require Nilay enhancing his player skills and working with the Vyper Neo and his father’s former ghost, Daedalus Bonn.
