There are many animals. Some are ferocious and aggressive. Others are fearful and fluffy. Animals are many things, but none of them are as complex, varied, or adorable as the common house cat. That’s why we are excited that Ananth Hirsh‘s and Yuko Ota‘s autobiographical webcomic, Our Cats are More Famous Than Us: A Johnny Wander Collection, will be collected in hardcover print format for the first time early next year!
Earlier this month, Hirsh and Ota launched a Kickstarter campaign to support the publication of the series. Now, The Comics Beat is excited to exclusively announce that Oni Press will be the official retail publisher and distributor for Our Cats are More Famous Than Us! The title will join the company’s line of diversely poignant and humorous comics including Scott Pilgrim and Merry Men.

Hirsh and Ota’s charming reverie about new adulthood will appeal to fans of Kate Beaton (Hark! A Vagrant), Bryan Lee O’Malley (Scott Pilgrim), and Jeffrey Brown (Stars Wars: Jedi Academy)—along with anyone who’s just winging it.
