Abrams announced at San Diego Comic-Con that it’s diving into the direct market with single-issue, monthly comics series, adding a unique new arm to the company’s traditional book-market-only publishing approach. Now, The Beat can reveal variant covers for the debut issue of its first monthly series, Human Nature, which hits shelves in November.
Written by Darren Aronofsky, Ari Handel, and Jeff Welch, with art by Martín Morazzo, colors by Chris O’Halloran, and letters by Aditya Bidikar, Human Nature is described as “a social sature of a bizarre yet fathomable future.” It follows the absurdly wealthy Duke, a Nebraskan chicken magnate seeking the final piece of the puzzle: immortality.
