If you haven’t gone to the theaters to see Dune: Part Two yet, what are you doing? Denis Villeneuve’s exciting follow-up to his 2021 film Dune delivers a stunning and exciting adaptation of Frank Herbert’s classic science fiction novel. The film continues the journey of Paul Atreides (Timothée Chalamet) and his time on the desert planet of Arrakis. Having escaped assassination in the first film, he and his mother, Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson), are taken in by the desert people known as the Fremen. There he trains as one of their warriors alongside Chani (Zendaya) and learns to lead the people in a rebellion against Baron Harkonnen (Stellan Skarsgård) and his nephews, Rabban (Dave Bautista) and Feyd-Rautha (Austin Butler). At his side is Stilgar (Javier Bardem), the leader of the Fremen tribe, and Gurney Halleck (Josh Brolin), Paul’s mentor.
In preparation for the film, we spoke with Stellan Skarsgård, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, and Rebecca Ferguson about Dune: Part Two. On top of asking them what they would bring from the universe of Dune into our own world, we discussed their character motivations, their careers, and what they felt about returning to Villeneuve’s world of Dune. Check out all four interviews below.
