DC has unveiled the cover for its forthcoming Legion of Super-Heroes: Millennium #2 special, which is due out Oct. 2. Here it is:

Legion of Super-Heroes: Millennium

That’s the aged-up Superboy, Jon Kent…getting his Legion flight ring. Pretty cool. Aside from that Legion of Super-Heroes: Millennium #2 cover, you know what else is cool? The interior artwork DC also released from Legion of Superheroes: Millennium #1. That comes from artist André Lima Araújo:

André Lima Araújo is one of many artist collaborating on the two-part Legion of Super-Heroes: Millennium project, with the others being Jim Lee, Andrea Sorrentino, Dustin Nguyen, Nicola Scott, Jim Cheung, Jeff Dekal, and Ryan Sook. The first issue is due September 4, with regular Action Comics/Superman writer Brian Michael Bendis handling the story.

After the two-part series concludes, Bendis and Sook will launch a Legion of Super-Heroes ongoing comic. It’s all very exciting.

Oh, and DC also unveiled just now a set of new character designs from Sook. These include Matter Eater Lad (who looks completely different, becoming big and muscular while keeping his same color scheme from the Silver Age), Element Lad (also with a similar color scheme but now with green skin tone and straighter hair), Dream Girl (totally unrecognizable from past iterations), plus also Dawnstar and Blok, which have more subtle changes.

  1. No. NO. NO! This is NOT The Legion of Super Heroes. It is a Travesty. Change simply for the sake of Change is a Load of BS! If you wouldn’t do it to Superman, Batman or Wonder Woman then DON’T do it to Any Other character either! I can guarantee you that IF this Abomination is released with the beloved characters looking like THAT, it will FAIL. It will make the Threeboot look like a major success.
