Last month DC announced DC K.O., an upcoming event series written by Scott Snyder and illustrated by Javi Fernandez that sees the heroes and villains of the DCU thrust into a tournament-style brawl for the crown of King Omega and the chance to face Darkseid. At that time only a handful of the competitors for the tournament were revealed, and today DC has unveiled the full lineup of 32 characters who will compete in the event.

The initially-revealed DC K.O. bracket.

The reveal comes courtesy of a variant cover for DC K.O. #1 by artist Dan Mora featuring headshots of all the tournament contestants. Here’s the cover, and a list from DC of the characters featured:

Top row, left to right: Power Girl, Superman, Lex Luthor, Supergirl, Black Lightning, Guy Gardner, Giganta, Captain Atom 2nd row: Damian Wayne, Batman, Red Hood, Batwoman, Jay Garrick, Cheetah, Cyborg, Big Barda 3rd row: Plastic Man, Aquaman, Harley Quinn, Lobo, Conner Hawke, Star Sapphire, Vixen, Zatanna Bottom row: Metamorpho, Wonder Woman, Swamp Thing, Firestorm, King Shark, Hawkman, The Demon, Starro (Jarro?)

Truly there’s really only one surprise in that lineup, and it’s the Starro in the bottom right corner, who though DC is being coy about it absolutely has to be Jarro, the baby alien starfish who rode around in a jar and called Batman ‘Dad’ during Snyder’s run on Justice League and the 2020 Dark Nights: Death Metal event series. Definitely never expected to see that character again.

DC K.O. #1 (of 4) is due out in stores and digitally on Wednesday, October 8th. Final order cutoff for the issue and all of its varied variant covers is Monday, September 8th.
