Just hours before the release of Wonder Man on Disney+ tonight, Marvel Television has dropped the trailer for Daredevil: Born Again season two, premiering Tuesday, March 24.
In season 2, Mayor Wilson Fisk crushes New York City underfoot as he hunts down public enemy number one, the Hell’s Kitchen vigilante known as Daredevil. But beneath the horned mask, Matt Murdock will try to fight back from the shadows to tear down the Kingpin’s corrupt empire and redeem his home. Resist. Rebel. Rebuild.
The brief trailer still reveals plenty, with special emphasis on Wilson Bethel‘s Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye roaming the streets, Charlie Cox‘s fugitive Matt apparently rekindling his romance with Deborah Ann Woll‘s Karen Page, and the return of Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, who’s still as acerbic as ever.
Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio)’s Anti-Vigilante Task Force (AVTF) patrols the streets, proudly displaying their misappropriated Punisher symbols, while the Kingpin himself participates in a boxing match. Matt’s last girlfriend, Heather Glenn (Margarita Levieva), is shown experiencing the strain of working under her new boss, and Buck Cashman (Arty Froushan) and Daniel Blake (Michael Gandolfini) are seen mulling what to do with a dead body.
Blink-and-you’ll-miss-it shots provide a first look at Daredevil’s new black costume (taken from the same Charles Soule & Ron Garney run that introduced Mayor Fisk), Matthew Lillard as the mysterious Mr. Charles, and a shot of Elden Henson‘s Foggy Nelson. The character was killed off in the series premiere, but his presence here will undoubtedly fuel speculation he is still alive.
Born Again season two will consist of eight episodes (one episode less than the first), and premiere on March 24 at 9pm ET. All eight episodes of Wonder Man will premiere beforehand, at the same time, tonight. In the meantime, you can check out the new key art below. The first issues of Jessica Jones’s new comic, Alias: Red Band, and the Daredevil relaunch will also respectively arrive in stores on March 11, and April 1.
