13 creators from across the globe telling stories from post-environmental collapse
Hostile Planet is a comic anthology that has been two years in the making, collecting multiple artists and writers to create something unique to the sci-fi space. The art had me glued to the screen; notably, one that stood out was this oil amalgamation that seems to have come from some eldritch future plane. In short, the project looks incredible and just the right amount of trippy; it’s the perfect project for fans of cyberpunk, Fallout, and survival adventures.
Tomás Giorello’s PLANET DEATH: Original Art Edition

Goal: $10,000

An ultra-deluxe oversized hardcover presentation of all the original art, designs & more from the PLANET DEATH series.
Bad Idea has released some interesting comics in its time as a publisher, and most recently, Planet Death has made some waves. People have loved the ultra-violent, action-packed, and beautifully drawn comic to the point that this Kickstarter has amassed over $60,000 and counting. That $50,000 past its original goal, so it’s no wonder that this ultra-deluxe oversized hardcover is so popular right now. It’s not just any run-of-the-mill art edition either; the giant hardcover is filled with information about the series, thorough explanations from its creators, and amazing pieces of artwork that could not all be fit into one book, which is why this original art edition needs two books to get the job done! It’s worth looking into, and if you’re a fan of Warhammer 40k, Gears of War, Heavy Metal, or even Kolstad’s past work (John Wick) this is a project for you!
DETONATOR #1-6: The Complete Series!

Goal: $4,000
End Date: December 11, 2025
Goodies: Get the digital copy for $15, the physical copy for $25, the digital complete series for $30, the physical complete series for $50, or at higher tiers, get the Hardcover edition for $70!
DETONATOR is an explosive action-thriller exploring mental illness, isolation, and friendship through supervillainy!
Detonator caught my eye with its explosive art and designs. Detonator himself has one of the coolest designs for an indie superhero that I’ve seen in a while. Reading through the project page only sold me on it more, especially after finding out it’s inspired by Invincible and the hit show Barry. It’s a comic that explores mental illness, feelings of isolation, and friendship while also mashing in explosive, action-packed scenes. It’s got a little something for everyone, and with 145 pages to go through, not to mention some insane cover artists like Noobovich, A.C. Zamudio, Martín Morazzo, and even Douglas De La Hoz! With great writing, fantastic art, and the backing to put this series out, it’s something worth checking out.
The Barber Comic
Creators: Mike Kelley (Creator/Writer), Aleksandar Bozic (Co-writer/letterer)
Goal: $3,000
End Date: November 19, 2025
Goodies: Get the digital copy for $7, the physical copy for $10, the posters for $14, or at higher tiers, get the fade and hot towel tier for $28 and much more!
In 2127, Barbers are ass kicking nomads renowned for their legendary style. This is the Story of the baddest one of them all!
The Barber is one of those projects that instantly stands out. It’s bold, stylish, and packed with attitude. Set in 2156, in a fractured America remixed by civil war, this story blends western grit, cyberpunk flair, and street-level swagger into something genuinely fresh. The concept of “Barbers” as nomadic warriors who cut hair and kick ass is just too good to ignore. At the heart of it is The Barber himself, a legend with clippers instead of guns, facing off against corruption and moral conflict in a world where looking sharp might be the last thing left that matters. With killer art by Aleksandar Bozic, a unique world that feels lived-in, and reward tiers that include original art and exclusive merch, this is a project made with passion and personality. If you’re into action, style, and substance, The Barber is worth backing.
The Day Everything Changed #1: A post-apocalyptic comic book
Creators: Roditeli Productions
Goal: $3,500

Experience the comic book adaptation of the hit post-apocalyptic audio drama with stunning art that visualizes the heartbreaking story.
The Day Everything Changed is a post-apocalyptic comic with heart, grit, and a story that already has a loyal following. Adapted from the hit audio drama with over 200,000 downloads, this series brings that haunting world to life with stunning visuals and emotional storytelling. Following John and his daughter Sarah as they navigate the ruins of the Northeastern United States, the story dives deep into survival, loss, and what it means to hold onto hope when everything’s been taken away. The “Sick” and ruthless scavengers make for terrifying threats, but it’s the human connections and choices that hit hardest. With art by Matías De Vincenzo, writing by Lane Fortenberry, and lettering by Marina Leon, this project delivers passion, craft, and a real respect for storytelling, and I can’t help but adore that. If you love post-apocalyptic series, this is the story for you.
