Break, rebuild, and keep going. That is the core focus of this project, and it fully delivers on that message. It comes as no surprise that the campaign has already raised more than $10,000. Once I saw that the comic centers on generational dread, it was easy to understand why. Tackling themes like this, especially during times that feel increasingly bleak, resonates with a wide audience. Paired with striking artwork and deeply layered storytelling, I Feel Doomed delivers an impactful narrative within the independent comics space that any fan of comics or thoughtful, emotionally rich media will appreciate.

RiffTrax is returning to where it all began with Mystery Science Theater 3000: The RiffTrax Experiments. At a time where The Muppets have just returned to TV screens, bringing Mike Nelson back to the Satellite of Love alongside Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett feels especially timely and exciting for longtime fans. With four brand-new episodes produced with the same handmade care that defined the original series, and Shout! Studios joining as a partner, the project already feels like a major event. Add in a planned theatrical Fathom premiere for the first episode, and this return captures what fans love most about MST3K while giving RiffTrax the space to evolve the format for a new era.

On one side it’s the first issue of fantasy-horror-western SLAY! by Writer Jeremy Whitley, Artist Alex Smith, Colorist Kelly Fitzpatrick and Letterer Taylor Esposito, and on the other-side the The Girlfriend Survives is the first issue of a superhero story told from a perspective you’ve never seen before, written by Jeremy Whitley, Illustrated by Luc Nakashoji and Colored by Jamie Noguchi.

Jeremy Whitley returns to Zoop with SLAY! / The Girlfriend Survives, a double first-issue flip book that pairs two very different but equally compelling stories in one collector-focused release. On one side, SLAY! delivers a fantasy-horror western soaked in blood, monsters, and a story about a woman’s coming-of-age tension. The story follows a young woman impersonating a legendary monster hunter and learning firsthand the danger of meeting your heroes. Flip the book over and The Girlfriend Survives reframes into a  superhero trope through the eyes of a civilian love interest who refuses to become another casualty!
