In Archie Meets Riverdale by Daniel Kibblesmith, Pat and Tim Kennedy, Bob Smith, Matt Herms, and Jack Morelli, with a main cover by Derek Charm and an open-to-order variant cover by Ben Caldwell, the Archie Comics version of Archie Andrews will meet the CW Riverdale version of Archie Andrews!

Archie(s) Gonna Be There

Will the Riverdale multiverse ever been the same? The answer is: well, it’ll probably be fine. This isn’t the first time that Archie has met a different version of himself, after all!

In fact, in Archie Vs. Predator II by Alex de Campi, Robert Hack, Kelly Fitzpatrick, and Morelli, it was established that the “classic Archie Comics Archie” who was featured in the first Archie Vs. Predator story was distinct from the more modern incarnation of the character (who was similar to the Archie from the 2016 run by Mark Waid and Fiona Staples).

Archie Meets Riverdale

“The cult classic Archie Meets the Punisher crossover from the 90s is a great example of taking two things that couldn’t be further apart in terms of tone and delivering a story that stands the test of time while holding true to both franchise,” said Archie Comics EiC Mike Pellerito in a quote included in the press release. “When the idea of doing a crossover between the classic version of the Archie Comics characters and the gritty and dramatic Riverdale versions first came up, we knew we had to get someone with a great appreciation of both takes that could deliver everything we were looking for.”
