Anime is here to save Australian wildlife.

As the bushfires in Australia continue to devastate the country, the anime community comes together to lend a hand. Streamers and distributors including Crunchyroll, Anime Lab, Funimation, Aniplex and several others have agreed to match charitable donations up to $50,000. With $43,000 raised at time of writing, the coalition aims to raise $150,000 for the non-profit organization.

If you want to join the anime fans out there helping Australian wildlife, you can check out the GoFundMe page here, where your contributions will be matched. All proceeds will be given to Wildlife Victoria, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping sick, abandoned or injured animals in times of emergency or crisis. The organization also does the work of educating communities about the impact humans have on wildlife, as well as advocating for the rights of native animals. It’s upheld that mission for over 30 years.

Below, you can check out the overwhelmingly adorable koala mascot created for the Anime Heroes for Australian Wildlife campaign, created by Sword Art Online character designer Shingo Adachi.

If you’re looking for a way to help as the tragic events in Australia continue, this is one of many ways to make your impact stronger.
