At the currently running Destination Star Trek convention in London this weekend – the first official UK Star Trek convention in 10 years – all five of the Star Trek captains have assembled. From left-to-right, we have Scott Bakula, Avery Brooks, Kate Mulgrew, Sir Patrick Stewart, and William Shatner:

This is the first time they’re all together in the UK, and only the second time they’ve come together, ever.

Y’know… just thought you might find that interesting.

  1. Yup.

That movie is in post-production, so it was possible for him to show up.
Or maybe he’s busy being the fourth Jack Ryan.

(Not to be confused with Jack Ryan, the politician, whose wife Jeri Ryan (Seven of Nine, Tertiary Adjunct of Unimatrix Zero-One) filed for divorce in 1999, and whose unsealed testimony derailed his 2004 U.S. Senate campaign against an Illinois state senator.)

  2. As a kid I loved the next generation and voyager but thought deep space 9 was arduous. But deep space nine is the best one! There is an episode called “the visitor” and it is one of the best sci-fi TV stories ever.

  3. All the Enterprise captains that have had their own tv series at least. Otherwise there are the captains of the Enterprise B, John Harriman (Alan Ruck) and C, Rachel Garrett (Tricia O’Neil).

  4. We got to see all 5 Star Trek Captains at Philly ComicCon last June. It was awesome! They play off each other very well. Some of the stories they told were really interesting, like when Patrick Stewart was on ST:TNG. The rest of the cast had to ‘break him’ the whole first season to get him to loosen up. Once he learned to relax, and enjoy it, he said things were really fun on the set, and it shows on the later seasons.

  5. Great to see them all together and in good spirits. Now, can we get a room all the living James Bonds to appear together?

  6. Well, my typo… should read either:
A room big enough for all the living James Bonds to appear together, OR
.. get all the living James Bonds together.
Take your pick, and have a nice day.
